Media source flexibility
Intelion is completely flexible when it comes to select the sources of the media to be analyzed. The platform can be connected directly to security, traffic or intelligent EDGE cameras, can also be integrated with a VMS and allows the direct upload of any type of media files. Wherever the media for an operation come from, Intelion can ingest them.
Security/Investigation/EDGE cameras
Intelion can be connected to security or traffic cameras and ingest their streams or files, to be analyzed and the results integrated into any active operation. The intelligent source filtering system reduces the necessary bandwidth to a minimum.
VMS integration
For large camera systems, for example city-wide or large area installations, Intelion integrates with any VMS system and provides it with advanced AI analytics functionalities. Like suspect, object or numberplate tracking and finding relationships between targets.
Media files
Besides live sources, Intelion allows ingesting media files directly via what is called “watchfolders”. These are live folders, monitored permantly, that process files as soon as they arrive, and assign them to the correct operation, to add to its evidence pool.
Intelion's analytics capabilities
Intelion uses an Analytics Bus as a central hub to apply all the AI analyzers to the audio, video and image files. This allows not only to add any number of analyzers to the analysis chain, but also to define an advanced analytics logic. The Intelion Analytics Bus processing sequence can be programmed individually via the BPM automation graph, for each usage scenario or even individual assignments. These are some of the most used analyzers:
Facial recognition identifies and verifies a person based on an image of their face. It is a biometric identification method.
Object recognition analyzes images or video, and detects the objects in view, by comparing them to a previously trained database.
ALPR is able to identify license plates for different countries in any image or video, as well as the car model, make, color, year…
OCR is able to read any text that appears in an image (signs, logos, etc.) or is overlaid on it, like titles or lower thirds.
Speech-to-text converts spoken word into editable and searchable text, and is able to detect changes in the language spoken.
Audio fingerprinting is used for locating a given sound (an event) within an longer audio file. Any sound pattern can be used.
Translation can convert text in any language, into your own language (or any other), so you can understand its contents.
Speaker ID is able to identify individual speakers in a conversation, and to associate what is said by each one.

For most of them we have connectors already, so it's a simple case of plugging in a new analyzer, and using it immediately, without even stopping the platform for a reboot. Locate a subject without face recognition
The advanced geopositioning functions in Intelion help locating all of the analyzed and ingested information on an interactive map to get the best possible overview of the location, movements of suspects and interactions between them.
Intelion provides identifications by similarity, for example referred to clothing. This way it is possible to identify a person among many others just by the clothes they are wearing.
