Madrid, March 31st 2023. ISID, a technology company focused on AI solutions and platforms for advanced video and audio storage and analytics , will be exhibiting at EPC 2023, to be held May 3-4 in Berlin. The European Police Congress is an annual event geared towards European law enforcement and an international platform for the executive level of Europe’s police forces. Police leaders and interior ministers from multiple countries will come together to exchange experiences and knowledge about current technologies impacting the world of policing and investigation. A panel of international experts will give lectures on security, investigation and new technologies.
ISID will showcase its video and audio analysis platform Videoma Intelion, designed specifically for use in Law Enforcement and Intelligence Centers. Intelion allows massive ingest of video and audio from multiple sources, such as archives and live recordings or cameras (including streams from drones or other operational vehicles). The platform allows unattended analysis of hundreds or thousands of hours of investigative video in search of specific targets.
Thanks to its artificial intelligence modules, Intelion can detect faces, license plates, vehicle models and makes, as well as more than 3,000 objects in the ingested videos, and supports the programming of alerts when a specific target is detected. The system can also transcribe audio to text in multiple languages and translate the results into any other language required, searching for specific words or phrases.
This allows specific agents or operational groups to be informed of the target’s location, using multiple messaging systems. The immediate advantage is the reduction of investigation and security video viewing times, leaving this task to the platform’s artificial intelligence systems, which is capable of monitoring multiple channels simultaneously without human intervention and in a fully programmable manner. Intelion can search for targets from multiple cases simultaneously and report back to each team individually.
Intelion's main features
The advantages Intelion offers to Law Enforcement and Intelligence Agencies include the following:
- Crime prevention. It is impossible for humans to monitor hundreds or thousands of cameras 24 hours a day to detect anomalous or dangerous situations, or to detect that a crime is being committed. Intelion’s AI analytics systems can detect faces on any camera connected to the system and trigger alerts to agents involved in that investigation. Other more advanced modules can detect anomalous situations and alert the departments that have been configured in the chain of command.
- Investigative innovation. New technologies, and especially artificial intelligence, make it possible to develop new, more efficient and advanced investigative techniques, with a higher hit rate and clearer evidence. The possibility of linking multiple sources of information and analyzing this set of data automatically stands out among the possibilities offered.
- Forensic innovation. It is not always possible to prevent a crime, but advanced analysis of the facts makes it possible to uncover more clues and reach better conclusions. Especially because if the events have been recorded on video, AI analysis systems make it possible to extract biometric information or license plates, and to search for that same information in all the recordings of the last hours or days.
- Drone images. The processing of drone images requires special recognition algorithms that allow clear identification of objects, vehicles and people, which Intelion has at its disposal.
The platform integrates seamlessly with existing systems, without the need to modify the way in which security teams or security forces operate. In addition, system investments are preserved and Intelion complements the existing platform with scalable analysis capabilities.
