The video and audio analysis and intelligence platform for police and military investigation
ISID’s Videoma Intelion, the video, audio and image analysis platform for law enforcement and intelligence agencies, is constantly evolving and has recently added new analysis capabilities, as well as a German language interface, to meet the needs of the German-speaking European market.
Madrid, February 22nd 2023. ISID, a technology company focused on AI solutions and platforms for advanced video and audio storage and analysis, has presented a new release of its Videoma Intelion platform, adding new analysers and integrating the German language into the platform’s interface. There are about 130 million German-speaking people in Europe, including Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. With this in mind, ISID has added German, to enable easier use of Intelion in all these countries, using their native language.
The area of artificial intelligence is constantly changing and accelerating its evolution every day. That is why ISID is permanently analyzing new AI technologies and integrating them into its platforms, selecting those that can provide real value to customers and users. Intelion recently added the first capabilities specifically oriented to the area of Defense and Armed Forces and now takes a step forward investigating new analysis systems for police and intelligence centers.
On the occasion of the World Police Summit 2023, being held in Dubai from March 7-9, Intelion will integrate new capabilities that will improve its usability and efficiency in video analytics, in order to reduce investigation and security video viewing times, leaving this task to the platform’s artificial intelligence systems, which is able to monitor multiple channels simultaneously, extract information automatically and unattended, and generate alerts when any identification of investigative targets occurs.
Intelion’s specific enhancements for massive video analysis are oriented to four areas of great importance within the tasks of law enforcement and intelligence agencies:
- Crime prevention. It is impossible for humans to monitor hundreds or thousands of cameras 24 hours a day, to detect significant situations in an investigation, out of the ordinary or dangerous ones, or to detect that a crime is being committed. Intelion’s AI analytics systems can detect objects, people or vehicles, among others, in any camera connected to the system and send alerts to the analysts involved in that investigation. Other more advanced modules can detect anomalous situations and alert the departments that have been configured in the chain of command. The area of crime prevention is extremely important, as it saves manpower in investigative operations.
- Investigative innovation. New technologies, especially artificial intelligence, make it possible to develop new, more efficient and advanced investigative techniques, with a higher success rate and better evidence. The possibility of linking multiple sources of information and analyzing this set of data automatically stands out among the available possibilities. In fact, the interconnection of different law enforcement agencies makes it possible to analyze the results provided by the different systems and discover patterns or new relationships.
- Forensic innovation. It is not always possible to prevent a crime, but advanced analysis of the facts makes it possible to discover more evidence and reach better conclusions. Especially because, if the events have been recorded on video, AI analysis systems can extract biometric information, license plates or objects, and search for that same information through all the cameras in the city and in all the recordings of the last hours or days, to find where the suspicious people, vehicles or elements started from. And alert if they reappear on any camera in the system.
- Drone imagery. The usefulness of drones in police or intelligence work is undeniable. But the processing of these images, mostly zenithal, requires special recognition algorithms that allow clear identification of objects, vehicles and people.
Intelion not only supports all of the above, but its ability to integrate with existing systems makes it ideal for inclusion in the existing workflow without disruption, and without the need to modify the way teams or security forces operate. In addition, system investments are preserved and Intelion complements the existing platform with scalable analysis capabilities (faces, license plates, objects, transcription, translation, etc.).
Having Videoma Intelion in the research centers offers clear advantages when making decisions. The platform is constantly evolving and its AI modules are configurable and can be combined in any way to adapt to the specific requirements of regional, national or foreign law enforcement agencies.
